Builders unveil plans for new theatre in Tullamore

The new Tullamore Arts Centre has been unveiled.

It will include three art rooms and a 250-seat theatre with a retractable stage which can also accomodate open air concerts.

It will have a gallery, childrens area and an open terrace facing on to the canal.

Dublin-based A2 Architects has won the contract to build the facility at Kilbride Plaza.

An official ceremony took place last night to outline the details.
