Mattie McGrath suspended from Dáil for 'unruly behaviour'
The Tipperary South TD Mattie McGrath has become the first TD in the 31st Dáil to be formally susended for unruly behaviour.
Deputy McGrath tried to make a contribution on the order of business, but was told by the Ceann Comhairle he could not because he's not a party leader.
When he continued to object, the Ceann Comhairle named him and called a vote to suspend him.
Other TDs voted 98 to 47 to suspend him, maning he faces a loss of up to three days pay as a result.
