Open College launches €100k of free scholarships

A distance learning scholarship aimed at people who have been made redundant or are seeking further education is being launched.

The Open College is making 33 FETAC scholarships available for free to successful applicants.

The courses, which will be delivered via distance learning, are worth €100,000 collectively.

They will be available in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford ever year for the next five years.

The closing date for applications this year is July 31.
