Wexford crash kills boy, seven

A seven-year-old boy has been killed in a crash in Co. Wexford.

A seven-year-old boy has been killed in a crash in Co. Wexford.

He was struck by a jeep on the Main Street in Clonroche just before 11am this morning.

He was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he later died.

The road was closed for a time but has since re-opened.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.

Meanwhile, investigations are continuing into a crash in Co. Longford that claimed the life of a cyclist in his thirties.

He died after his bike collided with a lorry at around midday on the N4, near Newtownforbes.
