The jury in the trial of two Wicklow men accused of the 'senseless' murder of a French busker in Bray has been told it can return a majority verdict.

Declan Sheridan of Sugarloaf View, Sea Road, Kilcoole and James O'Connor, of Kilbridge Grove in Bray, deny killing Charles Sinapayen at Richmond Hill, Fassaroe in the early hours of May 29, 2009.

After four hours of deliberations the jury has been told it can return a majority verdict that at least 10 jurors agree on.

They have to decide whether Declan Sheridan and James O'Connor shot Charles Sinapayen before disposing of their weapons and clothes at a local cemetery.

The 33-year-old busker died after he was struck by two bullets fired through the bedroom window of his apartment.

His girlfriend Mary Kinlan was in the room but did not wake up because she had taken sleeping tablets.

Witness Keith Lowe says he drove the two men to Richmond Hill that night but the defence sais that his evidence must be treated as dangerous.
