Man shot dead in house in Dublin
A 53-year-man has been shot dead in Clondalkin, West Dublin.
Gardaí in Ronanstown are investigating the shooting which occurred at a house on Shancastle Ave, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, at around 4.05am this morning.
The man was transferred to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown where he was later pronounced dead.
Some of the man's family were in the house at the time of the shooting, but no one else was injured in the incident.
It is believed the gunmen fired shots through a broken panel on the front door of the victim's house.
The gunmen fled the scene and shortly afterwards a car was found burnt out in nearby Chapelizod.
