Monaghan diesel-laundering raid: Trailer set alight

A trailer being transported by the Revenue Service following a raid on a diesel-laundering plant in Monaghan yesterday has been hijacked.

It happened just across the border in the Crossmaglen area in south Armagh.

The trailer was set alight on the Blaney Road at around 7pm last night.

The Customs Officer driving the vehicle was uninjured.

The PSNI is investigating.
