Lifting of EU work restrictions may lead to population shift
The number of eastern Europeans living in Ireland may decline in the coming months as work restrictions on immigrants from eight EU states will be lifted.
In 2004, people from countries including Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Poland were allowed to move to Ireland to work in the booming economy.
