Family of mother and daughter killed in crash awarded €100,000

The family of a woman and her child who both died in a car crash in Galway over five years ago has been awarded more than €100,000 in damages.

Mary Mahoney of St Laurence’s Fields, Loughrea initiated proceedings in the High Court on behalf of her 24-year-old daughter Yvonne and two-year-old granddaughter Bobbi-Ann, who were killed in a two-car crash at Lodge Cross near Athenry on July 9, 2006.
