Gardaí make significant cannabis seizure in Carlow

Gardaí have seized 20 kilos of cannabis with an estimated street value of €240,000 in Carlow tonight.

As part of an on going investigation into the sale and supply of illegal drugs in the South-East of the country, Gardaífrom Carlow stopped a car on the South bound lane of the M9 at Johnstown, Bennekerry, Carlow at around 1.25pm today.

One man in his early 30s has been arrested and is being detained at Carlow Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act
