Gardaí to charge second man in connection with Smithfield shooting
A second man is due to be charged in connection with a shooting incident at the Smithfield horse fair in Dublin last weekend.
Three men were injured, two by gunshots and the third with a slash-hook, when trouble flared at the fair last Sunday.
A 40-year-old man, who was arrested in Galway on Wednesday, is due before Dublin District Court this afternoon.
Another man, a 41-year-old, was charged on Wednesday with firearms offences and remanded in custody in relation to the same incident.
