Gardaí discover 10 million litre oil laundering plant

Gardaí and Customs Officers have uncovered a large underground oil laundering plant near Monaghan town.

It had the capacity to launder around 10 million litres of fuel a year which is a potential loss to the Exchequer of €6m.

Up to 40,000 litres of fuel, a lorry, four cars and a van were seized during the raid.
