Workers to begin strike at Dublin truck maintenance firm

Strike action is to begin around 8am at a truck maintenance company depot in Ballymun.

Twenty-three workers at Pullman Fleet Services are being made redundant because of the loss of a contract with Tesco.

They are being offered statutory redundancy, despite an appeal lodged by SIPTU at the Labour Relations Commission last Friday.

SIPTU spokesperson Graham Macken has said workers deserve a fairer offer than that.
