Youghal Gardaí launch murder investigation

Gardaí in Cork have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man's body after a fire at an apartment in Youghal.

Michael O'Shea, aged 32, from Youghal had moved into the flat on North Main Street a short time ago.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene at 2.30am this morning and his body was discovered when the blaze was brought under control.

Superintendent Flor Horan has said he had injuries to his neck and Gardaí are now treating his death as suspicious.
