Louth man to be sentenced for fatal machete attack

A Co Louth man is to be sentenced today for killing a man who was attacked with a machete and dragged along under a car.

Angelo O'Riordan (aged 23) from Point Road, Bellurgan in Dundalk was originally charged with the murder of Aidan Myers at Faughart in December 2006 but a manslaughter plea was accepted mid-trial.
