A 23-year-old man who killed another man in an unprovoked attack during which he was dragged under a car after being attacked with a machete, has been jailed for nine years at the Central Criminal Court.

A Co Louth man is to be sentenced today for killing a man who was attacked with a machete and dragged along under a car.

A 23-year-old father-of-one has admitted killing a man, who was attacked with a machete before being dragged along the road by a car, following a three-week trial at the Central Criminal Court.
