Figures released by the Irish Cancer Society show that prostate cancer survival rates in Ireland increased by 10% over five years from 2001 to 2006.

In 2001, 77% of men in Ireland diagnosed with prostate cancer survived for five years or more and figures for 2006 show this increased to 87%.
