The Parents' Education and Children's Health Group believes 13 is too young for children to begin taking the contraceptive pill.

A new pilot scheme has been begun in the Isle of Wight, which allows girls as young as 13 get contraceptive pills without their parents knowing.

The pilot scheme aims to cut unwanted pregnancies on the Isle of Wight but critics say it's "sad and misguided".

Rose Tully from the Parents' Education and Children's Health group in Ireland said with education and parental support, moral values can be set down.
