M&S receives 6,000 applications for 100 jobs

Mark and Spencers has received 6,000 applications for just 100 jobs at a new store in Co Cork.

The positions advertised ranged from cashiers to managers.

The new store will open in Douglas next month.

Tesco is also being flooded with applications for four new supermarkets it plans to open soon, according to the article in today's Sunday Times.

Some 5,800 people have applied for about 570 jobs.
