Regulator: Final Anglo bill could exceed projections
Financial Regulator Matthew Elderfield has admitted that he cannot be certain the final bill for Anglo Irish Bank will not exceed €34bn.
Mr Elderfield made the comments today at the Oireachtas Committee on Economic Regulatory Affairs.
Last week the Central Bank revealed the minimum cost of bailing out Anglo will be €29.3bn, rising to €34bn in a worst-case scenario.
