Men charged in connection with Longford fire
Two 21-year-old men have been charged in connection with last Thursday night's house fire in Longford, in which a girl was injured.
The 11-year-old is receiving treatment at Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin, Dublin.
Michael Stokes of Springlawn, and Michael Nevin of Farnagh were both charged with criminal damage and arson under Section 2 of the Criminal Damage Act at a special sitting of Longford District Court.
Michael Nevin was remanded in custody to appear at Harristown District Court next Friday.
Michael Stokes was also remanded in custody with consent to bail on a number of conditions.
Two other men are still being questioned about the incident.
