Bishops appeal to massgoers not to stage boycott
Catholic Bishops are appealing to people across the country not to boycott mass this morning.
It follows a call from Cork woman Jennifer Sleeman, who said she wants to let the Vatican and the Irish church know that women are tired of being treated as "second-class citizens".
The 80-year-old from Clonakilty said there is a range of issues angering women, including the Church's failure to ordain female priests and the child sex abuse scandals.
