Dublin set for Pride Parade today
Up to 5,000 people are expected to take part in this year's Dublin Pride Parade this afternoon.
The 27th annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender parade marks the finale of a 10-day festival featuring arts events, theatre, film and political debates.
The theme of this year's parade is 'We Are Family Too'.
This year also sees massive sponsorship from companies like YouTube and the HSE.
The parade begins at 2pm from the Garden of Remembrance in Parnell Square.
From there, the route will go through the city centre, and will finish up at the Civic Offices near Christchurch Cathedral at 3.30pm.
Participants are being advised that although it is not long route, it does move quite slowly, so appropriate walking footwear and sunscreen is recommended.
