A 61-year-old man has been convicted at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of one count of sending a hoax bomb threat email to Heathrow Airport.

A 61-year-old man has been convicted at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court of one count of sending a hoax bomb threat email to Heathrow Airport.

The jury returned their verdict of guilty on the first count of sending a hoax message on May 8, 2006, following three hours and forty minutes deliberation on day seven of the trial.

They will continue their deliberations on the second count this afternoon.

Adam Busby (aged 61), of Santry Lodge, Ballymun, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of sending hoax messages, for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety, at Charleville Mall Public Library, North Strand on May 8 and 15, 2006.
