ICTU: Govt transfixed by banks, ignoring jobless
The Irish Congress of Trade Unions has accused the Government of ignoring the jobs crisis and failing the country's 435,000 jobless people.
In a May Day statement, Congress General Secretary David Begg said the entire apparatus of Government seems to be "transfixed" by the banking crisis.
