Up to 300 new jobs are to be created in Co Cork.
The positions in a call centre operation are due to be announced by Enterprise Minister Batt O'Keefe later this morning.
The jobs are being created by Abtran a specialist outsourcing and call center operation.
Mr O'Keefe will announce details of the new investment project when he visits the company's base on the Curraheen Road in Cork later this morning.
It is being hailed as a major boost to the south west economy.
Abtran is an Irish-owned business processing firm already employing 600 staff.
It is hoped the jobs will add to Ireland's growing efforts to consolidate its status as the call centre and outsourcing hub for Europe.
