Junior minister calls for change in Tallaght Hospital management

Fianna Fáil junior minister Conor Lenihan has said that changes to the management of Tallaght Hospital are urgently required.

Minister Lenihan is rejecting claims that understaffing is to blame for the X-ray and GP referral debacle at the hospital.

The HSE is currently examining thousands of X-rays that were not reviewed by a consultant radiologist over a four year period.

Meanwhile, local GP's are to meet with hospital management today in an effort to improve access for their patients to clinics in Tallaght.
