Broadcasting body defends budget increase

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has defended the introduction of a levy of around €90,000 on radio stations and broadcasters across the country.

The BAI came under fire earlier at an Oireachtas Committee for failing to outline detailed plans for how this year's budget will be spent.
