Tánaiste hits back at O'Leary in jobs row
A spokesperson for the Tánaiste Mary Coughlan has said Ryanair boss Michael O Leary should "come down from his high horse".
A storm erupted after the airline claimed Ms Coughlan did not facilitate a plan to create 500 jobs at Dublin Airport, 200 of which have now gone to Glasgow.
Mr O'Leary said this morning that the remainder could be secured for Dublin if the Tánaiste acted as intermediary between his company and the Dublin Airport Authority.
Ms Coughlan's office has pointed out that 100 Aer Lingus staff are already working at the site in Dublin and there are plenty of other properties available, but Ryanair must deal with the DAA.
But Michael O'Leary is insisting it is not too late for the original plan.
