Ambulance services in Co Meath will no longer take seriously ill patients to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan from today.

Ambulance services in Co Meath will no longer take seriously ill patients to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan from today.

The HSE says following a review of its services it was decided to transfer all trauma cases to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

Other hospitals in the region will also be used as an alternative destination.

However heart attack cases will continue to be dealt with in Navan.
