Fight against gangland crime to remain Garda priority

Justice Minister Dermot Ahern has asked the Garda Commissioner to continue the focus of the force on serious crime, in particular organised crime.

Publishing his Department's policing priorities for 2010 today the minister said the "key priority" of the Garda Síochána must continue to be serious, organised crime.
