Pedestrian killed in Longford crash

A pedestrian has been killed in a crash in Co Longford.

The 59-year-old died after he was struck by a car on the Drumlish to Mohill Road at around 6.30pm yesterday.

His body was taken to Mullingar Hospital.

The road is closed and will remain so until later this morning.
