Road conditions still disrupting bus schedules

A number of Bus Eireann services, particularly in Leinster were still cancelled, delayed or disrupted due to bad road conditions this afternoon.

Services out of Dublin have resumed with the exception of Sligo and Ballina routes, the company said in a statement. These services are affected by road conditions in Longford.

"Local services from Wicklow are not currently operating. Services from Kildare are operating, but are delayed," the company said.

"Services on the 103 Dublin-Ashbourne are not currently operating, but we are considering alternative routes for this service, if possible."

There is also disruption to some city services in Cork where diversions are in place.

"Bus Eireann will continue to monitor this situation closely and we would advise customers travelling to and from Leinster especially to contact their local travel office for information on individual services."

"Bus Eireann would like to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused."
