ICTU proposes temporary minimum tax rate for high earners

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions is today calling for a temporary minimum tax rate of 35% on people earning more than €100,000 - who avail of tax shelters and avoidance schemes.

ICTU is also seeking a new top tax rate of 48%, the targeting of tax exiles and a levy on corporate incomes as part of its pre-Budget submission.
