Corrib pipeline decision deferred
An Bord Pleanála has deferred a final decision in relation to planning for the Corrib gas pipeline.
They have asked for further safety assurances from Shell in relation to their plans, and set a deadline for a response by the end of February.
The board wants more of the pipeline to be built underwater - the plans as they stand see much of the project based on land.
A spokesman for the planning board says another oral hearing on the issue could yet happen, depending on Shell's response to their decision.
