Burglaries up more than 26% in third quarter of year

The number of burglaries recorded by the Gardaí in the third quarter of this year was up more than 26% on the same period last year, according to the latest crime statistics from the CSO.

The statistics agency says 7,255 burglaries and related offences were detected during the three-month period.
