Man killed in Limerick house fire

A 63-year-old man is dead following a house fire in Limerick.

The blaze broke out at a house in Garryowen at around 4am this morning.

The man, who was on his own in the house, was taken to the Midwestern Regional Hospital but later died of his injuries.

Gardaí say they are not treating the blaze as suspicious.
