A man in his 20s has been arrested following a robbery at a bank in Dublin this morning.

A man in his 20s has been arrested following a robbery at a bank in Dublin this morning.

It's understood a man escaped with a sum of cash from the bank in Phibsboro at about 9am.

It's unclear whether there were any customers there at the time.

Gardaí arrested a man in the Cabra West area afterwards, and recovered a sum of cash.

He is being questioned at Mountjoy garda station under Section 50 Criminal Justice Act 2007.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Phibsboro area this morning and may have seen something suspicious to contact them.
