Man injured in Cork stabbing

Gardaí in Cork are investigating a stabbing incident last night which has left a man fighting for his life in hospital.

The victim was found lying in the middle of Innishmore Drive in Ballincollig at around 9pm.

He had been badly beaten and stabbed a number of times. Gardaí believe he is 44 and from the area.

A number of men are believed to have been involved in the attack and gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
