Woman injured in Dublin apartment assault

A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after she was assaulted at an apartment in north Dublin yesterday.

It is understood the attack happened during a burglary at the premises on Prospect Hill in Finglas at 2.30pm yesterday afternoon.

The 35-year-old sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Mater Hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery last night.

No arrests have yet been made and it is unclear how many people were involved in the attack.
