Twenty-seven former and serving inmates at Ireland’s largest prison have been charged with rioting.

The prisoners at Mountjoy jail, Dublin, barricaded themselves in to a basement recreation centre on July 12 last year, broke into adjacent workshops and caused over €100,000 worth of damage.
