Irish diving accident victim named

A 22-year-old student from Galway has died in hospital in Chicago, after an accident there earlier this week.

Keith O'Reilly sustained serious neck injuries after diving from a pier into a shallow area of Lake Michigan on Thursday night.

He was taken to North-Western Memorial Hospital in Chicago where he died yesterday evening.

A post mortem examination is being carried by local coroners.
