Search to resume for man missing off Inis Oirr

A search operation for a man missing off Inis Oirr in the Aran Islands is due to resume later this morning.

The 47-year-old man was last seen at around 10pm on Saturday night on the north-west side of the island.

He is believed to have been holidaying in the area with his wife.

The Shannon-based Coastguard helicopter and the Doolin Coastguard unit are due to take part in the search today.
