National Bike Week commences

Hundreds of people are expected to gather in the Phoenix Park in Dublin later for the start of National Bike Week.

As part of the event, cyclists are attempting to break the world record for the largest parade of bicycles ever gathered in one place.

Taiwan currently holds the record, after more than 2,200 people on bikes came together in the city of Taipei in July 2007.
