SF insist party will grow despite recent setbacks
Sinn Féin is insisting that it will continue to grow as a party, despite a series of set backs.
It lost a number of local election seats in Dublin at the weekend, and its only MEP south of the border, Mary Lou Mc Donald, lost her seat to Socialist Joe Higgins.
Today, Dublin City Councillor Christy Burke announced that he was resigning from the party.
Despite the difficulties Sinn Féin's leader in the Dáil Caomhghín O Caomhlain is remaining optimistic.
