Gardaí investigate third drowning
Gardaí are investigating a third drowning after a woman's body was recovered from the river Suir in Tipperary this morning.
The discovery was made at around 2am at Lower Ballylynch in Carrick on Suir.
A post-mortem will be carried out on the body of the woman who was in her late 30s, but gardaí say foul play is not suspected.
Two other drownings are being also investigated by gardaí in Kilkenny.
A 22-year-old man died after he got into difficulty while swimming in the River Barrow yesterday.
Meanwhile, a 24-year-old woman's body was recovered from the River Nore at John's Quay, it is understood she got into difficulty while swimming last night.
