Gardaí are investigating a third drowning after a woman's body was recovered from the river Suir in Tipperary this morning.

A man and a woman have drowned after getting into difficulty while swimming in separate rivers in Kilkenny.

UP to 12 hours of torrential rain wreaked havoc across the south-east yesterday, with parts of Kilkenny and Wexford hardest hit.
