Viable device found by roadside in west Dublin

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a viable explosive device in west Dublin last night.

The device was discovered beside the Baldonnel Road between the junctions of Commons Road Lower and Barney’s Lane.

A house was evacuated and the area was sealed off while army bomb disposal experts made the device safe.
