Proposals which could end a dispute and secure more than 450 jobs under threat at an aircraft maintenance company outside Dublin are to be put to the workforce on Monday.

A possible agreement over management plans for changes in terms and conditions was thrashed out during 11 hours of talks today.

Management and unions at the Lufthansa Technique Airmotive plant at Rathcoole Co Dublin met under the auspices of the National Implementation Body.

A brief statement at the end of the talks said both sides had “unanimously agreed to recommend new proposals to resolve the dispute ”that threatens 465 jobs at the company’s plant“.

The proposals will be put to the workforce on Monday.

Three unions, Unite, SIPTU and TEEU, have been have been in dispute with unions and both sides under pressure to reach an accommodation to allow a 40 million euro contract for a new engine to proceed and secure the jobs.
