Police release man held over house attack

A man arrested after the home of a Hungarian family was damaged has been released, police said today.

A man arrested after the home of a Hungarian family was damaged has been released, police said today.

The man, 21, was arrested after the incident on the Donegall Road area of Belfast on Thursday night.

The PSNI, which is treating the incident as a hate crime, said the man was released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

About 40 Polish families have been forced to flee parts of the city after violence between rival fans before a football fixture between the two countries.
